2006 Topps Heritage Football Cards

Topps Heritage is back this year with one of the best looking Heritage football issues to date. Why is it the best looking so far? Because they are using the 1952 Topps Baseball design!

Sticking to the pattern of 1952 Topps, the base set for this years Topps Heritage football also consists of 407 cards, featuring 380 veterans along with 27 rookies to make up a football card set with a fantastic selection of NFL players.

Also in honor of the popular 1952 baseball theme, this years Topps Heritage football set has some cards that can be found in two variations, either a "red back" or a "black back" depending on the color of ink used on the back of the card.

Randomly inserted in hobby packs is a very rare, special "CHAMPIONS TRIBUTE" card featuring autographs from NFL players Ben Roethlisberger and Vince Young and a Cut-Signature from legend Doak Walker! This card is limited to only 5 copies in the world.

Topps brought back all the popular insert cards from previous Topps Heritage years. The "chrome" parallels have become hobby favorites. Each Chrome set consists of 110 cards, and are back again in 3 tiers:

Chrome (Limited and #'d to 1952) inserted on average 1 in 6 hobby packs
Refractor (Limited and #'d to 552) inserted on average 1:27 hobby packs
Black Refractor (Limited and #'d to 52) inserted on average 1:294 hobby packs

"Real One" Autographed cards.

The popular Topps Heritage "Real One" autographs return this year boasting a checklist of 16 NFL legends. Topps Heritage Real One autographs are limited to only 200 hand-numbered copies of each card. Also, each Real One autograph can be found in a "Special Edition" parallel version, hand-numbered and limited to only 52 of each card.
